Bend a note, or bend an entire chord while keeping each note in tune, go for the “dive bomb” effect or instantly transpose everything you play up to two octaves higher or lower, all without throwing your guitar out of tune. The DigiTech Whammy 5 uses 24-bit/96kHz analog-to-digital and digital-to analog converters for clean, smooth sound. The "Classic/Chords" switch lets you select either single note or whole chord effects and the rotary switch gives you the option of 21 different presets. In addition to the standard ¼” input jack, a MIDI input lets you control of the pedal from an external MIDI device, while the two ¼” output jacks (“Dry,” “Mix”) give you additional versatility. Rugged, industrial-strength construction will keep it running for years. Comes with its own 9-volt DC power converter. Whammy Pitch Bending Effects
The DigiTech Whammy brings you the same hair-raising “dive bomb” effects, gripping pitch bends and lightning harmony shifts you are looking for plus a few new twists. Bend entire chords with the new chordal pitch shifting setting, and execute classic single note bends.
Classic Whammy Interface
The Whammy interface features the same legacy Whammy pitch bending options you’re accustomed to along with some additional pitch bend settings from the Whammy DT.
MIDI In for Remote Control of Whammy Effects
The Whammy features a MIDI input for receiving incoming MIDI data. MIDI messages can select a Whammy or Drop Tune effect and set whether these effects are in an active or bypassed state. MIDI CC messages can then be used to control the Whammy Expression Pedal position.
